General Standards for Admission
ITS is a graduate theological school. All applicants are required to have earned a regular Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution before applying for admission into the master’s programs of the seminary.
ITS admits students of any race, sex, color, national, or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the seminary. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, national, or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, scholarships, and loan programs, and other seminary-administered programs.
Applications from US-based individuals are received throughout the year. It is required, however, that local applications must be received by the Admissions office no later than 60 days before a quarter to begin study.
International applications must be submitted on or before April 15 to be considered for the incoming school year. Only completed applications will be processed. M.A and M.Div. applications are screened and processed once a year prior to the beginning of the Fall Quarter. However, Th. M. and D. Min applications are processed every quarter. International applications for Th.M and D.Min. must be received no later than 60 days before a quarter to begin the study.
The non-refundable application fee must be sent with the application is US$50 for the M.A. and M. Div. programs, and US$100 for Th. M. and D. Min. programs.
TOEFL score is required for non-English speaking international applicant.The minimum required TOEFL scores are 560 (paper-based), 220 (computer-based), and 84-85 (internet-based). The TOEFL requirement is waived if applying for Chinese and Korean programs.
Required Forms for Admission
Since all admission materials submitted to the seminary should remain in its possession, any original document or certificate which cannot be reissued must be submitted along with a photocopy. Applicants are normally required to submit the following things to the Admissions Office in order to be considered for admission:

- A $50(M. A. & M. Div), $100 (Th. M & D. Min) nonrefundable application fee
- One photo
- Official transcript(s) from all post-secondary school attended
- Three references
- Personal Testimony
- Pledge to Return
- Statement of Financial Support
- TOEFL score
